Manufacturing - Wooden Components

Hi, This is Arne Pedersen, owner and founder of Hill Agility Equipment

It became apparent to me that our customers often have had many questions as to how our products were built, as well, within wondering of why our prices are where they are.

I decided to design a manufacturing and shipping page with the intentions in providing fulfillment in our customers curiosity, as well, in showing how many time involving steps and procedures actually take place with the safe shop production and shipping of your orders, and that you are TRULY getting your money's worth in return.

Manufacturing Procedures For Wooden Components

We have many steps with the wooden components of our equipment that require careful attention, to ensure great usefulness, looks and long lasting in the elements.

  • Wood is cut into the specific dimensions required
  • All edges are either sanded or beveled for safe use
  • Two coats of a high quality primer/sealer is painted on the bottom of all ramps
  • One coat of a high quality primer/sealer is painted on the sides of all ramps
  • Slats (where applicable) are cut from full sheets, holes drilled, they are glued and screwed into place before primer and sand procedures
  • One coat of a high quality primer/sealer is painted on the top of all ramps
  • One coat of Playground sand is placed onto the top of all ramps
  • Two coats of a high quality porch and patio deck paint (finish coats with the colour) is painted on the sides and top of all ramps over the sand traction.
  • Finished ramps are screwed into place on frames with Zinc coated self tapping screws
  • Touch up paint is painted onto screw heads
  • Next step is inspection, then shipping
